The German Spitz Club of America (GSCA), the official AKC parent club for the German Spitz breed, provides resources and support for judges’ education to ensure accurate and consistent evaluation of the breed in conformation shows.

Promoting the German Spitz

The club actively promotes comprehensive judges’ education through breed materials, and in coordination with AKC-approved programs. These efforts emphasize the breed’s compact Nordic structure, profuse coat, lively temperament, and key virtues over faults, often incorporating live dog presentations and ringside mentoring to help judges apply the AKC breed standard effectively.
