German Spitz Club of America Breeder Listing
The German Spitz Club of America, Inc. (GSCA) Breeder Listing Service is provided as a courtesy to the public and our members. Our members are expected to comply with the Club’s goal of excellence in breeding, including adherence to recommended health testing (such as hips, elbows, patellas, eyes, and genetic tests for PRA, vWF type 1, albinism) and the Code of Ethics.
We offer this information to inform you that the GSCA is dedicated to promoting and protecting the German Spitz and its breed standard (the ideal for which all reputable breeders strive). Other market sites may not supply this level of detail. GSCA members must agree to adhere to our Code of Ethics and follow breeder qualifications, including responsible practices for health, temperament, and breed preservation.
However, the GSCA, including its Officers and Board of Directors, does not expressly or implicitly warrantee, guarantee, endorse, or rate breeders, their kennels, or their dogs, nor does the GSCA, its Officers, or its Board of Directors assume any responsibility for the quality, health, or temperament of any dog.
ALL BUYERS need to be informed about adding a dog to their household, and we recommend thorough research when considering purchasing a puppy or dog. To assist you, please refer to our guidelines on questions you should ask any breeder.
NOTE: Please ensure you have a written contract from the breeder (not just an email). For any transaction involving a German Spitz, the contract should be mutually agreed upon and signed by all parties involved. Contracts generally include a health guarantee, return policy, identification of the dog being purchased, information on AKC registration, and pedigree.
